Chief Minister MK Stalin presents Muthamizh Peravai awards to artistes

The Kalaimamani Awards were given only to the most talented, Tamil Nadu Prime Minister Stalin said on Monday.

While presenting awards to various recipients at a ceremony in Muthamizh Peravai, Mr. Stalin recalled former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s involvement in the organization and said he too was proud of his long association with the Peravai.

The Chief Minister said an award ceremony for artists from small screens will be held in the coming days. The awards of the Tamil Nadu government’s MGR Film and Television Training Institute will also be announced soon, he added.

He presented the Kalaignar Award to actor M. Nassar and the Rajaratna Award to Vaduvoor SNR Krishnamurthy. Tiruvarur Pulavar R. Shanmugavadivelan received the Iyal Selvam Award and Gayathri Venkataraghavan received the Isai Selvam Award. Anitha Guha received the Natya Selvam Award.

TKR Ayyappan and TKR Meenakshisundaram received the Nadhaswara Selvam Award and Nangur NK Selvaganapathy received the Thavil Selvam Award. Thanjavur K. Murugaboopathi received the Mridhanga Selvam Award.

Minister Mon. It is subramanian and mlas. Valu and J. Karunanithhi were among those present on the occasion.
