Chelsea sign Dusan Vlahovic news

There have been some new media reports claiming that Chelsea are hoping to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season, and that he could be open to a move to England, according to Iomie Stanley.

Although Vlahovic has been a key player for Juventus last season, scoring 64 goals in 162 games, the Italian side are keen to shed his club-high wages of £350,000 per week.

Clubs across Europe are alert to Vlahovic’s situation and the TMW website reports that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have contacted the player’s representatives about a possible move to the Premier League in the summer.

Vlahovic was free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with foreign parties in January, but that obviously didn’t happen, but reports say the London duo are fighting for his signature. AC Milan are also keen and confident of a deal, despite Vlahovic’s interest in a move to England

And according to reporter Stanley, he could be interested in a mega-money transfer to England, telling icfootballnews: ‘Dušan Vlahović is a powerful centre-forward known for his physical presence, aerial ability and eye for goal – qualities that could suit the intensity of the Premier League.

‘With a strong record in the Italian top flight, Vlahović would add a proven goalscorer to Chelsea’s attack, something the Blues have lacked consistency in recently. He has also played in the top competitions and the Champions League, giving him a maturity that can help a young Chelsea frontline.

‘This combination of attributes means he can immediately challenge for a starting role, especially in games where Chelsea need a focal point up front or a plan B for more creative attackers.

‘A free transfer for Dušan Vlahović could be a smart strategic signing CHELSEA – but only if the club integrates him well and balances his role in the team.

‘He’s not the transformative figure who can single-handedly guarantee 20-plus goals a season, but his physicality, Serie A experience and finishing ability add a useful dimension to Chelsea’s attack.

‘And the fact that he would be paid more than the £300,000 a week he gets at Juventus, he would be more than open to a move to Chelsea’
