QPR winger Emmerson Sutton is wanted by Hartlepool United, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke X.
QPR loaned the attacker to Morecambe in September. That was him given the green light to join the National League side on loan to gain some more experience.
Sutton, 19, will now return to the Hoops from the Shrimps. He made fourteen appearances for the fifth level in all competitions, scoring one goal.
In this latest update on his situation this winter, reporter O’Rourke claims X that he has now appeared on the radar of their league rivals Hartlepool United. However, there are also ‘a number’ of other teams in the picture.
QPR are back in Championship action on New Year’s Day with a home game against Norwich City. Their upcoming opponents are in the relegation zone, along with Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford United.
The Hoops lost 2-1 at West Brom last time out, so will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to the Baggies with a positive result. Jimmy Dunne scored his goal at The Hawthorns.
Julien Stephan’s team is in 9th place after 24 games. They are three points behind the top six behind Watford.
QPR striker Emmerson Sutton being monitored by Hartlepool United
QPR must make a decision on what to do with Sutton next. He has attracted attention at Morecambe in recent times.
Hartlepool United could see him as someone who would strengthen their attacking department. They are in 9th place and are just four points away from the play-offs behind Southend United.
The swimming pools have been taken over by Landon Smithan American investor and co-founder of real estate company Tailwind Group. He will look to bring in a number of new players in the coming weeks to boost their squad as they eye a return to League Two.
Sutton came through QPR’s academy and has made three first-team appearances in his career so far. He has also been loaned out to Hanwell Town in the past to further his development.

What next for QPR and Emmerson Sutton?
It is unlikely at this point that Sutton will break into QPR’s starting XI. Therefore, another departure seems likely and Hartlepool United could be an exciting team to join now following their takeover.
The Hoops have been inconsistent of late and need to start racking up more wins if they want to be considered real promotion contenders. Stephan was picked as their replacement for Marti Cifuentes this summer.
