Lyles will participate in a selection full of former NBA players, including Mario Hezonja (who was in the design class of Lyles), Facundo Campazzo, Bruno Fernando, Usman Garuba, Edy Tavares and Theo Maledon.
Brett Siegel from ClutchPoints also confirmed that Lyles had offers to stay in the NBA, but chose Real Madrid because they offered more money.

It was quite surprising that Lyles was not signed most of the contract, because he has proven himself as a lot in a competition that now appreciates players more than ever. However, lyles is only a rotation player, and it is not like big men who can have the floor space, are an irreplaceable ingredient. Moreover, Lyles had the chance to earn more money and play with NBA alumni.

He only spent two years in Utah, but many are well aware of his contempt for his time in the state and with jazz. In the end it was what he wanted, and if the only comfort was, the feeling was mutual at the end of Utah.
