Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Mike Tyson announced before 2026 Exhibition Fight
“When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought” in any way this happens “,” Tyson said in one rack. “But Floyd said yes. This fight is something that neither the world nor I had ever thought that or could happen. Boxing, however, has entered a new era of the unpredictable, and this fight is just as unpredictable as it becomes.
“I still can’t believe that Floyd really wants to do this. It will be harmful to his health, but he wants to do it, so it is signed and it happens!”
Mayweather shared his own response in a statement to fight sport, the co-promoter of the upcoming fight.
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there has not been a single hunter who can affect my estate,” said Mayweather. “You already know that if I am going to do something, it will be big and it will become legendary.
“I am the best in boxing. This exhibition gives the fans what they want.”
Tyson recently took the most in the Ring at the age of 58 against Jake Paul last November and lost a unanimous decision. It was the Boxing Hall of Famer’s first fight in 20 years.
Mayweather withdrew from professional boxing after beating UFC -Superster Conor McGregor in an unprecedented crossover fight in 2017. Since retirement, Mayweather has remained active in exhibitions, most recently against John Gotti III in August 2024.
