Well, I hate to start an article with bad news … But the title probably gave it away. For full clarity, I have not received an official word of the powers that are confirming that the end of this website comes … Although I could follow the route of the band on the Titanic and continue to play my music while the ship is slowly going down … I don’t really feel like going if the site ultimately no longer exists.
I’m really not sure when I’m the first Arctic ice hockey Site, although I know I missed the early years of the SB Nation network. However, when I finally found AIH during a search for more news about the Winnipeg -Jets, I quickly flipped through the reactions of the members and I found that they seemed to be an expert group, so I liked to add my voice to the conversation.
And I have never regretted that choice, although the site of our little jets has had its part of Ups & Downs over the years. The members here have shown their love for our NHL club over the years, but perhaps no more impressive than the period in which the existence of AIH was in danger after SB Nation had lowered the financing. With no more money to pay writers for new articles, everyone refused to admit here … to continue the discussions of the jets in the commentary section and via fan posts. What a fantastic group of fans AIH has collected over the years !! Of Winnipeg strongholds such as the Canadian prairies (Manitoba/Saskatchewan) and Noordontario to many more distant locations such as Sunny California & Nederland. All your contributions have made discussing the shortages of the Winnipeg -Jets much more pleasant. I appreciated what everyone brought from you to the discussion … Even if I sometimes seemed unintentionally argumentative. 🙂
Fortunately, the network for sports fans introduced at the last minute to maintain AIH and that ultimately led my member of the site as a writer for the first time on September 30, 2023. Two years have passed two years since I wrote that article (really 714 days) And at that time my hockey-obsessed alter ego, aka Bigoljetairlinerhas had the pleasure to entertain you with 413 articles. Because this is the site of a jets, that number can just as well compare with how some players of Winnipeg did in their first two full NHL campaigns.

It seems that I am in a reasonably good company, if I can say that without increasing the size of my ego too much … not a superstar, but a solid 2nd line option for most NHL teams. If I am a late bloomer, I could even earn the top minutes (Although that is very unlikely because I just turned 53, it should therefore be a very late flowering). 🙂

Time to land this Bigoljetairliner and put it in the pendant for a while. I hope that the Winnipeg -Jets can still offer us an exciting season like the last one. If I had to guess, I think 2nd or 3rd in the power station perhaps where our club ends up … with a decrease in powerplay production that plays a role in the small fall of the jets. For me I think the Manitoba Moose Constant is drawing my attention from the big league club, because I like to witness the development of the prospects of Winnipeg. No idea if I will continue to write somewhere else at the moment … Although I am considering covering the Moose on Jets Hockey Forum. We will see … no hurry to make a decision.
