Canelo Alvarez reveals Fighting Future after losing undisputed title to Terence Crawford | Bjpenn.com

Canelo Alvarez was short of Terence Crawford in their super fight, but will his in-ring career continue?

Alvarez arrived in Allegiant Stadium on Saturday as the undisputed super middleweight champion of Boxing. He had not suffered any defeat since May 2022 when he dropped a unanimous decision to Dmitry Bivol. Crawford came in the fight with an unbeaten record and two undisputed awards on his resume.

Eventually “Bud” fought the exact fight he had in mind. While Alvarez tried to crack the Crawford code, he was more often denied. Crawford defeated Alvarez through a unanimous decision to further strengthen his inheritance as one of the great ones of all time.

In the aftermath of his defeat against Crawford, the Mexican star told reporters That Crawford deserves the praise he has received. He also explained what went wrong for him in the fight.

“We knew that Crawford is a great hunter and I did what I should do,” said Alvarez. “I tried it for all ways and I trained very hard. He deserves all honor. I did my best tonight and I just couldn’t find the style.”

When asked what he struggled against Crawford, Alvarez kept his answer short and direct.

“Everything,” said Alvarez. “He has everything.”

Canelo Alvarez continues to fight

Alvarez certainly does not have much to prove in the fighting game, but that does not mean that he now has to hang his gloves. The 35-year-old legend confirmed that he will continue to fight.

“It’s what it is,” said Alvarez. “You have to take a loss and accept everything, but I’m going on.”

It will be interesting to see which options are on the table for Alvarez when he decides to return to the ring. As far as Crawford is concerned, he is approaching whether or not to end his prize feet after scoring the biggest victory of his Pro Boxing career.
