Los Angeles Dodgers left -handed pitcher Blake Snell will be opposite his former team on Saturday evening in Chavez Ravine.

Clayton Kershaw opened the rivalry series for the Dodgers on Friday evening, and the hope is that Snell is wearing the same momentum against the San Diego Padres in the second game of the series.
Snell played for the Padres from 2021 to 2023, where he won the second Cy Young of his career in his last season with the club.
“When I was there, we always wanted to beat the Dodgers,” Snell said Jack Harris from the Los Angeles Times. “Because that is the team you have to go through to go to the World Series.”
Prior to the rivalry series, manager Dave Roberts said that the Dodgers should want to win just as badly as the Padres did.
“I think it’s one of those things where they are very hyper -oriented at us,” said Roberts. “But I think it’s a compliment. Yet we have to match their intensity because they want to beat us more than anything.”
The Dodgers, who struggled in July and August, arrived on Friday evening. Dodger stage had a nervous energy in the series opener, as if 50,000 fans were uncertain whether the defensive champions could perform as promised.
See, the Dodgers have put together a strong version, in which Clayton Kershaw set the tone for LA with six dazzling innings. While the first three batters in the Dodgers -Line -Up up the majority of the game were quiet, the bottom of the order gave the team three important runs.
And the Dodgers Bullpen received the last nine outs, maintaining the management. It was the best performance of the Dodgers in recent days and proven that La is still there to win it.
