The Blue Chip Campground in Sturgis, SD serves as a setting for Saturday night’s event in the middle of the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle RallyWith this year’s rally a 10-day event. Bare-Knokkel boxing is central to the second night of the rally.
Coverage of BKFC 79 in Sturgis starts with The Countdown Show At 7.30 pm et/ 4.30 pm PT on YouTube before he goes on the fighting an hour later. As usual, the show can be seen Dazn.
All in all, if no adjustments were made to the schedule on Saturday evening, the final version of this weekend’s show will contain a slate of 11 games.
BKFC 79 Main Event: Vacant BKFC Welterweight Championship: Gorjan Slaveski vs. No. 5 Contender Julian Lane
At the top of the bill on Saturday evening, the vacant BKFC Welterweight Championship will be ready for picking up. “Gogo”, Gorjan Slaveski (6-0 Kale Knokkel) meets the fifth rank Julian Lane (8-8 Bare Knokle.)
All fights at BKFC 79, including the main event, are an advertised length of five rounds after two minutes per round. Slaveski still has to lose in his career as a bare pugilist. In all competitions he has placed a 4-1 record in his last five fights.
He won two fights in a row. Back on December 19, 2024, he conquered battles in karate and scored a knockout in the first round with ground and pound shots about Noah Cutter in just 59 seconds.
“Gogo” did not see the ring in BKFC in almost two years. In the meantime, he has kept himself busy with two victories in a row in karate fights. How is his BKFC -backkeer?
In the meantime, Julian Lane enters the main event of BKFC 79 with a 5-0 record in the course of his five most recent fights between Kale Boxing and MMA. Last time-out he surpassed Cameron Vancamp (2-2 bare knuckle) by knocking out with the fourth round with an upper hand on the right.
His nickname is “let me pop.” Can he deliver a new finish of the peak-reel in the BKFC 79 main event?
BKFC 79 Co-Main Event: Nr. 2 candidate Taylor Starling vs. Shelby Cannon
Immediately obvious sees the BKFC 79-CO-Main event shifting the scene to the Ritters of the Strom Wege. No. 2 candidate Taylor Starling (4-4 bare knuckle) and Shelby Cannon (4-1 bare knuckle) fight in this co-headliner. Starling went 2-3 in her last five attacks in bare knuckle and traditional boxing.
At the moment she has lost two fights in a row. Back on January 25 in Philadelphia in Knuckklemania V, she dropped a unanimous decision after five laps of action (3-3 bare knuckle).
This is a crucial fight for the Starling camp. A victory on Saturday evening can still mean a shot at the BKFC Strawweight Championship in the very near future.
On the other side, Shelby Cannon wants to have a number next to her name in the Stromweight Rangers this weekend after BKFC 79. She has placed a 4-1 record in the course of her last five fights since she became a professional in Kale boxing.
Last spring she scored a unanimous decision gain against Kathryn Paprocki (1-1 bare knuckle) in BKFC 74, her promotion debut. Although this is only her second-year appearance under the BKFC PromotieBanner, she has fought five times under bare rules.
Does she score a victory on building CV on building on Saturday evening? Only time will learn it.
BKFC 79 Featured bolt: Zach Calmus vs. Corey Willis
Also on the main map of BKFC 79, the recommended match of the evening is in the heavyweight distribution between Zach Calmus (5-3 bare knuckle) and Corey Willis (1-0 bald knuckle). Calmus is currently wearing a 3-2 record in his last five fights between traditional and bare knuckle boxes.
Last January he saw Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady from Patrick Brady by Patrick Brady. Patrick Brady.
Calmus had eradicated the knockouts prior to his fight against Brady. In his last winning streak, none of those fights had to go to a fourth round, so you have to think he’s hungry to return to the win -column. Expect that Calmus will fight with frustration this Saturday in BKFC 79.
In the other corner, Corey Willis will walk this weekend for his second appearance in BKFC. He has a 3-2 record in his last five fights between traditional MMA, Bare-Knuckle MMA and Kale boxing.
This fight is the third fight by Willis so far in 2025. In March he fought in MMA and lost knockout by means of the first round because of strikes versus Brent Campbell (2-0 MMA.) As far as BKFC is concerned, his promotional debut in Montana in Montana resulted in a first-round Knock-out.
Will he go 2-out-2 in the promotion of David Feldman?
