MYX and IP are also on the rise.
Most larger-cap altcoins posted small gains over the past day, with ETH recovering $3,100 and BNB ticking $910. XMR has stolen the show again and has risen to a new record.
BTC targets $92K
The primary cryptocurrency started the previous business week with a strong rally that built on the weekend’s gains. At the time, BTC had already reclaimed the $90,000 level and rose to a multi-week high of nearly $95,000 on Tuesday morning. However, the bears finally acted at this point and Bitcoin fell below $89,500 on Thursday.
After losing over five thousand dollars in just 48 hours, BTC recovered to trade sideways around $90,500 over the weekend after being rejected at $92,000 on Friday.
Bitcoin went on the attack again on Monday. On Monday and Tuesday, $92,000 was requested a few times, but both times it was stopped. The asset is now active again as it touched $92,500 earlier today. It now trades at $92,000, while its market cap has risen to $1.840 trillion.
Altcoin dominance is also increasing, rising to 57.1% on CoinGecko, after falling to 56.6% a few days ago.
XMR continues to rise
The past few days belonged to Monero (XMR), which has now become the largest privacy token after surpassing ZEC. XMR has skyrocketed by 17% daily and 50% weekly. It hit a new all-time high at $686 earlier today.
MYX and IP are also up double digits, followed by NEAR, AAVE, CC and ICP. BCH and LTC, on the other hand, are slightly in the red.
The larger cap alts are a lot less volatile, with small gains from ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, DOGE and TRX.
The total crypto market cap has added $40 billion daily, reaching $3.220 trillion on CG.
