GOALKEEPS

Big numbers: 22 eye-catching stats for FPL Gameweek 12

11 save points registered by both Robin Roefs (ÂŁ4.7 million) and Martin Dubravka (ÂŁ4.0m), the most in 2025/26 to date. In fact, the Sunderland shotstopper also leads the way for double-digit strikes (two) and bonuses (six). His save percentage of 81.3% for shots on target is only surpassed by Gianluigi Donnarumma (ÂŁ5.7 million).

+4.40 expected goals (xG) occurrence highlights how much Willem Vicaris (ÂŁ5.0 million) saves Tottenham Hotspur from trouble. Opponent shots on target should have scored 14.40 goals, instead of 10. While Brentford’s Kevin Kelleher (ÂŁ4.5m) is the opposite, at -3.90 (13.10 vs. 17).

7 clean sheets are picked up by David Raya (ÂŁ5.9m), the most of any goalkeeper, but Arsenal’s defense is so strong that he has not collected a single save point since Gameweek 1. The Spaniard has also failed to stop any of the eight big chances he has faced, suggesting the Gunners’ excellent defensive record has little to do with him at the moment!

DEFENDERS

FPL Gameweek 10 Scout Picks: Calafiori is part of Arsenal triple-up

2.21 xG registered by Riccardo Calafiori (ÂŁ5.8m), the most among defenders. However, he is also the number one defenseman for attempts (19) and box shots (13). JurriĂ«n Hout (ÂŁ6.1m) points the way for expected target engagement (xGI, 2.78). The latter’s five shots on target are only bettered by Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz (ÂŁ5.8 million).

141 defensive contributions from Mark Senesi (ÂŁ5.0 million) this season. That’s the best total of any defenseman, as is his total of 18 DefCon points.

Before Liverpool’s great games, Virgil van Dijk (ÂŁ5.9m) is in second place with 119 actions. However, the champions love to leak big chances.

11 shots from distance from Matty Cash (ÂŁ4.6m) is part of the reason why Aston Villa are one of the biggest xG overachievers (+3.64). The team is among the worst when it comes to accumulating box shots (74) and big chances (15), but every shot from right-back Cash was a long-range shot, two of which were goals.

3 great opportunities without scoring puts Sepp van den Berg (ÂŁ4.5m) ‘ahead’ of other defenders. He is therefore the biggest xG (-1.48) and xGI underperformer in the position (-1.66).

Considering he has amassed a respectable 10 DefCon points, managers can feel some joy in the next six games as they take on Burnley, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Speaking of old gold….

52 open play crosses registered by Hugo Bueno (ÂŁ4.4 million). FPL interest is low on someone with no attacking returns, part of a backline that still lacks clean sheets. But Bueno is number one in all positions for open play crosses, and far ahead for successful crosses (21).

The only defender with more passes into the opponent’s penalty area is Kieran Trippier (ÂŁ5.0 million).
