Arsenal agree a new long-term contract with Bukayo Saka

Arsenal have agreed a new long-term contract with Bukayo Saka.

The north London side are in negotiations with Saka’s representatives in a bid to tie down the winger. A new, improved five-year deal has now been agreed for Saka to reflect his rise to fame at the Emirates. The Athletics report that the deal runs until 2031.

Saka’s new contract follows good work by the Arsenal board in securing the long-term future of key assets. Central defensive duo William Saliba and Gabriel Maghalaes have signed new deals in recent months, alongside academy duo Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.

Saka’s deal is perhaps the most important of them all, with the 24-year-old becoming the poster boy for Mikel Arteta’s side. The winger progressed through the Hale End academy and has since become one of Europe’s most effective wide players.

Saka has made 217 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring 57 goals and providing 48 assists. He also captained the team in the absence of Martin Odegaard.

At international level, Saka will be a key part of England’s challenge at the 2026 World Cup, having scored 14 times in 48 caps for the Three Lions at senior level.
