Apex Wheels | Trackspeed G87 M2 Build Feature & Wheel Showcase

When BMW announced the G87 M2, we knew that it was only a matter of time before they would find his way to the Nürburgring in Full Track Spec. This specific example, built by Trackspeed, quickly became one of the most recognizable M2s that circulates the ‘ring. It is not only visually striking with its Vulcan Alpha Aero package and track speed livrei, but it is also one of the first G-chassis M cars that are equipped with a pre-production OHLINS TTX Coilover system.

From stock to track weapon

The car started life as a standard G87 m2, but it didn’t stay in stock for long. The goal of Trackspeed was simple: make a car that can live at the Nürburgring, able to record tourist fahrten sessions and closed track days. The suspension was the first major change. Trackspeed collaborated with OHLINS to test their TTX -Cailover system on the G87 platform, in the spring rates and damper settings for both the Nordschleife and the GP layer. In combination with a fully Vulcan Alpha Aero package, including a splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and a towering rear wing – the car quickly evolved from a streetM2 in a special track machine.

The perfect attitude

The wheels and tires are equally serious. The car currently has our most aggressive track setup for the G87 and other G8X M chassis. Give you the most wheel and band, which gives you the most grip, both front and back. Go to our G87 M2 wheel configurator to find out more about our forged wheels and power-shaped wheels.

In the cockpit

Looking inside, the goal is clear. A Sparco bin chair with a Sixpoint Harnas holds the driver firmly in place and the interior stays in a club sports configuration for a mix of usability and safety. Braking is handled by the OEM M -performance setup with improved pads and high muffing fluid, which ensures consistent performance during repeated Nürburgring -rounds.

Misha’s lap validates the decisions from Trackspeed from suspension to Aero. The G87 M2 treats as a car that is specially built to survive and thrive under Nürburgring conditions. For everyone who follows the Build -Thread, this video serves as a powerful reassurance that every component – Koevers, Aero, Tire strategy – works coherently in practice.

What is the next step for the build

Trackspeed is not ready yet. The next phase of the G87 M2 includes exchange to Apex vs -5re wheels, adding more power via coordination or turbo work and exploring weight reduction and cage installation. In the future, if there is a notice of braking blur, the consideration of a large brake kit can arise.
