Andy Cook has written in Bradford City Folklore, but this week he added a fairy tale to his legendary career.
Bradford City has had Andy Cook in their books since 2021. He first came to BCAFC on loan from Mansfield Town before the move was made permanent that same year.
Since then there have been turbulent times for the Bantams, but they have aware of positive changes. They are at the top of the League One table and start brilliant after the automatic promotion of last season of League Two.
One thing that has not changed in those years is Star Striker Cook. The popular veteran has been a reliable source of goals at Valley Parade all the time.
Andy Cook still supplies the goods for Bradford City
Cook spent a long saying after the contract of ACL damage against Barrow on New Year’s Day. However, he has now returned to the side and continued where he had left.
Unfortunately before the rush he could not play a role in the last victory over Fleetwood Town who sealed promotion.
But through hard work, Cook returned to the team for the EFL -Trophy match against Grimsby Town earlier this month. He came from the bank to score twice when BCAFC came from behind to win the game.
With just a minute from League One -football played this season, Cook found more minutes when he came out of the couch against his boy’s club Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup. It was tired of a fairy tale for him to play in St. James’ park, but it was a moment of excavation when he brought a nice strike home to withdraw the score to 3-1. The result did not matter at the time, he had given his admiring Bantams fans something to celebrate.
Since he arrives after an impressive loan in the club, he scored 69 goals in 149 games for the Bantams. He also took the 2022/23 League Two Golden Boot home and was on track to do the same last season before his injury.
He may not start in League One yet, but Cook will be looking for an impact of the bank to try to reclaim his place.

Andy Cook has always scored goals during his career
After having started his career at Carlisle United and went on loan twice to Workington and Barrow, it was only when he came to find his feet permanently at the last one.
Before he came to the Bantams in 2021, Cook played for five clubs, including a second spell at Barrow.
Cook also had to score his way to EFL football. After spending nine years in the National League, he scored 128 goals for three different sides. At Tranmere Rovers he was twice the top scorer of the club and once division top scorer and also won a play-off final about Boreham Wood.
Seven goals in 10 games also made a good start in Mansfield Town, but he was left to Tranmere Rovers six months later.
It shows that although Cook may have been the greatest success in Bradford City, he has found joy at almost all his clubs. He is perhaps 34, but Cook still scores goals and adds chapters to his fantastic story.
After putting them at his youth club, BCAFC fans will make him even more iconic moments.
