Details of the match between Newcastle and Athletic Bilbao in the UEFA Youth League have been released.
An official release from Newcastle United announcing (see below) that the match will be played on Wednesday 5 November.
The NUFC Under 19s will play their Athletic Bilbao counterparts at the Gateshead International Stadium.
The UEFA Youth League match starts at 3pm, ahead of the Champions League match between the two clubs, which starts at 8pm that evening (Wednesday 5 November 2025) at St James’ Park.

‘A venue and kick-off time have been confirmed for Newcastle United Under-19s’ 2025/26 UEFA Youth League visit to Athletic Club.
The Toon teenagers will take on the Spanish team in their final home match of the league stage at Gateshead International Stadium on Wednesday, November 5, with kick-off at 3pm (GMT).
The young Magpies’ Youth League matches will reflect the new UEFA Champions League format, with an initial competition phase of 36 teams.
However, they will only play the first six parallel matches in the Youth League competition stage, as opposed to the eight matches in the Champions League.
