Mainoo has not yet started a Premier League game this season and is expected to be open to a move in January.
During the club’s 4-4 draw against Bournemouth on Monday evening, the player’s half-brother Jordan Mainoo-Hames was pictured wearing a t-shirt with the controversial ‘Free Kobbie Mainoo’ message on it.
Amorim was not asked about the T-shirt in the aftermath of the match but was questioned about it during his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s match with Aston Villa.
Kobbie Mainoo is definitely out of favor at Man United this season and has played just over 200 minutes in the Premier League 😮

He emphasized that Mainoo’s position in the team would not be in jeopardy due to actions taken by his family.
“No [it won’t affect team selection]. It wasn’t Kobbie wearing the T-shirt. He will play if we think he is the right man. That’s no problem. I’m not going to do anything to Kobbie because of anyone in his family.”
