Alexander Isak has spoken (see below) after his transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool for a new record costs paid by an English club.

Alexander Isak expressed his ambition to ‘create history’ with Liverpool after he arrived at the Premier League champions on Deadline Day.
The Swedish international striker has completed a move to the Arne Slot team of Newcastle United, for whom he has achieved 62 goals in the past three seasons.
Isak adds his productive skills to a Reds team that wants to follow their title Triumph of 2024-25 with more silverware in the coming years.
And those goals are fully shared by the new No.9 of the club, which wants to further increase its own game in the pursuit of collective glory.
“It is a mix of what the club is building, but what they build on top of what the club is. The history of the club,” Isak told Liverpoolfc.com, when he was asked why Anfield is the place for him.
“I get the chance to be part of this, I want to create history. I want to win trophies.
“In the end, that is the biggest motivation for me and I feel that this is the perfect place for me to grow even further and bring my game to the next level and also help the team.
“I feel that this is the next step for me in my career. I am very happy that I got this chance and I am very motivated to do something good with it.”
Isak played twice as an opponent in Anfield during his enchantment with the Magpies and found it just both times.
Now he can’t wait for the possibility to add that count for the benefit of the Reds.
“It’s so exciting,” said the 25-year-old. “I think it is something difficult to put into words, I think you should experience it and then explain it.
“I think we all know what Liverpool is about, the fans and whatever they are about. So, yes, I am looking forward to experiencing that.”

‘Liverpool FC has completed the transfer of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
Isak joins the Premier League champions as their new No. 9 on a long-term contract, which he signed on Deadline Day after successfully passed a medical.
Shortly after completing his move in the AXA training center, the 25-year-old attacker told Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel great.
“It has been a long journey to come here. But I am super happy to be part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It is something I am proud of and I am really looking forward to it.
“I am just happy that it is ready and that I can return to work. I am looking forward to seeing and going back to my teammates and the fans.”
Sweden Spits Isak settled as one of the leading attackers of the Premier League during his three seasons with Newcastle.
After arriving from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022, he scored 62 goals in 109 performances for the St. James’ Park Club.
Isak yielded 54 times in 86 Premier League outings for the Magpies, with 23 of those goals last season, when he finished second behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the golden boat.
He is now a teammate of Salah and has set his sights on winning trophies in Anfield.
Isak added: “I think I have a lot to give, I think I have much to improve. I am a striker, but I always want to give the team as much as possible, mainly goals, but much more than that too.
“I want to win everything. Yes, [as simple as that]. “
Isak started his career at Aik in his home country before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
After a successful loan saying with the Dutch side Willem II, he signed for Sociedad in the summer of 2019 and was the top scorer of the competition when Sociedad won the Copa del Rey 2019-2020.
To date, he has earned 52 caps for Sweden and scored 16 goals’
