The message was clear from Los Angeles Dodgers Reliever Alex Vesia.

“I will come back soon, I promise,” he told a fan on a meet-and-grreet at Benny Boy Brewing Saturday.
Vesia emerged this season as the most reliable reliever of the Dodgers when the bullpen was decimated by injuries. He wears an ERA of 2.75 with 69 strikeouts over 52.1 innings in 2025.
The left -handed one was the only Reliever that remained healthy in 2025, until at the end of August he was sidelined by a right oblique tribe.
The injury increased for Vesia while playing a few days earlier, but he believes that his stint should be on the injured list in the short term.
“There was no pull or grip or something that made me worried,” said Vesia. “I think (Roberts), all our training employees are on the same page, just make sure we eliminate it now, make sure it doesn’t get worse. It is not necessary to push it. I am confident that I can resume my normal routine. So we take it a day at a time, and I am good to go good to go.”
Vesia brings a unique intensity for the Dodgers -Bullpen and his return will be crucial for LA in the piece and in October. Noel Sanchez from Dodgers Nation asked Vesia for his incredible energy, and the Reliever explained why he comes out of the bullpen every game with such a high intensity.
“I was a 2 baseball player division, I don’t take it for granted in the big competitions … The dog mentality is that you have such a short window for success,” said Vesia.
Although it is not ideal, Vesia is sidelined, the Dodgers need the Southpaw and healthy for the late season.
