Alexander-Arnold Under pressure for Liverpool returns when really new injury is incurred

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso will be desperate to have Trent Alexander-Arnold back in time for their journey to Liverpool after a new injury to Dani Carvajal.

Alexander-Arnold is currently being sidelined with a hamstring injury, which evokes doubts about his involvement against his former club in the Champions League.

But the pressure will now be on the 26-year-old, where Alonso is confronted with the prospect of no fit right backs in the structure of their collision at Anfield.

Carvajal took a calf injury in the 5-2 defeat of Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid on Saturday and, per MarkingIt is expected to miss about a month.

That means that he is not guaranteed to tackle Liverpool again, with the responsibility of Alexander-Arnold to recover and start against the Premier League champions.

Although Alonso had been hopeful, Alexander-Arnold’s injury was not serious, as feared, a period of six to eight weeks was initially reported for his return.

TNT Sports claimed On Sunday he is expected to be fit for the collision with his boy’s club on November 4, but in the meantime the meetings with Kairat, Villarreal, Getafe, Juventus and Barcelona would miss.

Real is currently also without major defenders Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy, with neither the Center-Back nor the left back is expected to fight against Liverpool.

Prior to his injury, Alexander-Arnold was in rotation with Carvajal in the right back place with a clear feeling that he was not a first choice.

Carvajal is Alonso’s captain and would probably have been chosen to start against Liverpool if he was completely fit, but now there are doubts about both players for that competition phase.

Alexander-Arnold’s injury comes after a deal was mediated before the expiry of his contract to join Real on time for the club World Cup.

That meant that the English international played his last match of a long season for Liverpool on 25 May before he started effectively with a new campaign with Real, while he debuted in the 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal three and a half weeks later.

It is no surprise that many of those involved in the club world cup, early muscle injuries at the start of the new season.
