Iwai, who is on the LPGA Tour in her debut season and joined Twin Sister Chisato -who is also a winner has achieved a victory of four shots for her breakthrough success.
The Japanese star ended in 24-under par The 2025 Portland ClassicFour free from Gurleen Kaur in Columbia Edgewater Country Club.
Iwai earned her LPGA tour card via Q School in December 2024 when he finished fifth in qualifying, in which her twin sister became second to also secure her status for the 2025 season.
Before she received that tour card, she was finished second Engel Yin in The 2024 Honda LPGA Thailand. She also became second Ingrid Lindblad in The JM Eagle LA championship 2025.
Akie won eight times on the LPGA of Japan Tour and once on the Step-Up Tour, which was her first victory in 2021.
During the LPGA Japan tour, Iwai won the 2023 Kkt Cup Vantelin Ladies Open, Sumitomo Life Vitality Ladies Tokai Classic and Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Women’s Open Golf Tournament.
She also won the 2024 Resort Trust Ladies, Nichirei Ladies and Sumitomo Life Vitality Ladies Tokai Classic.
