A lot has been made about the low season that the Phoenix Suns had, one in which they waved the white flag to fight for a championship and goodbye waved to Kevin Durant. The selection was certainly younger around Superstar Devin Booker – with no fewer than three rookies in the team this season – but it is still to see how long this rebuild will last.
Trading for Center Mark Williams seems to have been a misstep if the national media can also be believed, although if he can stay healthy, he will do wonders for the final return of the Suns to the convention. Really although this is a franchise that needed a spark to make fans enthusiastic again, and owner Mat Ishbia went exactly.
Steve Nash returns to Suns in senior advisory role.
Few former players unite the fan base as a two-time League MVP Steve Nash, so that he is brought on board as a senior adviser a master battle by the organization. At a time when the direct of the team is a point of care, playing the hits and returning the Point Guard is a certain way to make people talk again for the right reasons.
Steve Nash was a great player and exactly what the Phoenix Suns is all about. His grit, toughness and winning mentality have defined our organization in the past, and I am so enthusiastic to share that Steve becomes a formal member of the @Suns As a senior advisor and will help us define … pic.twitter.com/CM1VKMRBTV

At a more basic level this is a good PR after a low season in which some of the wrong types of stories came from Phoenix. Nash is a link to happier times and an era of Suns basketball that we all remember lovingly, and it is also ironic that his return should happen so quickly after Durant’s move to the Houston Rockets.
Nash was Durant’s head coach at the Brooklyn Nets, although he was eventually challenged by the stars in New York and has not coached since then. He has appeared on the “Note the game“Podcast next to LeBron James, and what is interesting is the fact that the last person who does that in JJ Redick is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Speaking of Nash that Nash is something other than a consultant, is incorrect, although it would be interesting if Jordan Ott would go a slow start. The calls for Nash to go again with coaching – especially with such a strong relationship with Booker – would grow rapidly. The title of Senior Advisor is also vague and can mean any number of things.
But because the preseason now comes into the picture and the suns suddenly build up young players while making a selection around the talents of Booker, the addition of Nash is a great one. He plays well with the media, will be popular wherever he goes and takes the attention away from the negative stories that have come from the valley. A home run.
