Christian Pulisic only needed three minutes on Tuesday evening to add this season to his growing goal in total.
Pulisic came from the bank to score AC Milan’s third goal in a 3-0 Coppa Italia Home victory on Lecce. The national team of the American men Vooruit now has five goals and two assists for the Rossoneri in all competitions.
Santi Gimenez opened the score for the Massimiliano Allegri team a minute after Lecce was reduced to 10 men after the red card by Jamil Siebert. Christopher Nunku doubled the hosts who asked early in the second half and celebrated his first goal for the club.
Pulisic, who entered the game in the 61st minute, added his name to the score sheet for only three minutes. Youssouf Fofana’s cross of the right wing was held home by a sad Pulisic in the top left corner, making the Rossoneri a third goal to cheer around.
The count marked Pulisic’s 38th career goal for the Rossoneri and moved him in 43rd place in the club’s goalscoring ranks.
AC Milan would hold on to book his place in the round of 16, while he also extended his unbeaten run to four games in all competitions.
Pulisic and his teammates will now prepare for a long-awaited Serie A collision with ruling champions and first place Napoli on Sunday. A victory for the men of Allegri was able to finish matchweek 5 in first place.
