Hwang played in the event in Hawaii at the invitation of a sponsors and grabbed her moment with a stunning finish to lift The Lotte Championship 2025 title.
The Hwang in South Korea won the victory with Birdies on five of its last six holes in Hoakalei Country Club and finished one shot for fellow countryman Hyo Joo Kim.
As an amateur, Hwang won important events, including the Korea Women’s Amateur Golf Championship and the Bitgouljungheung Cup to become number three in the global amateur rangers and first in Asia.
She became professionally at the end of 2022, joined the KLPGA and made an immediate impact, including victories at the Daeyu Winia/MBN Women’s open in 2023 and the Doosan E&C We have championship in 2024.
Hwang also won the Taiwan LPGA Tour’s Foxconn TLPGA Players Championship in 2025.
