The coach of 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina was erased by the WTA tour to return from his suspension for a possible violation of his code of conduct.
Stefano Vukov was provisionally suspended in January, while the Tour carried out an investigation. It announced in February that was completed and that the ban remained in place, without saying how long it would take.
The organization said on Friday that Vukov could again receive login details, which means that he has access to player areas and courts at its events.
“The WTA is fully committed to offering a safe and respectful environment for all athletes and other participants, as set out in our WTA behavioral code and security code,” the Tour said in a statement. “All sanctions issued after a violation of these security rules are carefully considered and can appeal to an independent tribunal. Although case details remain confidential, we can confirm that Mr Vukov is eligible to receive references at WTA events.”
The New York Times reported for the first time that Vukov’s ban had been lifted.
Rybakina announced before last year’s US Open that Vukov would no longer be her coach, but then said before the Australian Open that he would be re -re -bijen to her team. She insisted that he had never mistreated her during their time that worked together.
Rybakina, ranked on the WTA tour, just reached the semi -final of the National Bank open in Montreal before he lost to the Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko, the final champion.
