The WTA final 2025 in Riyadh starts on November 1 on the King Saud University Indoor Arenawith the eight best singles players of the season and the eight best doubles teams of the season. The draw ceremony has revealed the exciting matchups that await fans at this prestigious season-ending event.
The WTA Finals Singles groups
Stefanie Graf group
- Ariana Sabalenka (1) – 2022 finalist, appearing in the WTA Finals for the fifth time
- Coco Gauff (3) – defending champion, participating in her third WTA Finals
- Jessica Pegula (5) – Finalist of 2023, for the fourth time
- Jasmine Paolini (8) – her second appearance in the WTA Finals
Serena Williams Singles group:
- Iga Swaatek (2) – Champion of 2023, making her fifth appearance in the WTA Finals
- Amanda Anisimova (4) – tournament debutant
- Elena Rybakina (6) – participation in her third WTA Finals
- Madison Keys (7) – her second appearance in the WTA Finals
Mirra Andreeva And Ekaterina Alexandrova will serve as first and second alternates, respectively. Andreeva will also participate in the doubles competition with her partner Diana Shnaider after qualifying.

Each round-robin win earns a player three points. If two players finish the group stage tied, the winner of their head-to-head match will advance. In the event of a three-way tie, the ranking is determined by the number of matches played, followed by the total number of sets won and the total number of games won.
The top two players from each group advance to the semi-finals, where the group winners will face the second place from the other group. Both the semi-finals and finals will be played in a single-elimination format. The doubles competition follows the same structure.
When play starts on Saturday, it will mark the second edition of the WTA Finals in Riyadh, which is being held as part of a three-year partnership between the WTA and the Saudi Tennis Federation (STF). Last year’s opening event made history as the first professional women’s tennis tournament ever held in Saudi Arabia.
The singles champion can earn up to 1,500 PIF WTA Ranking points for an undefeated run, with The total prize money reached a record $15.5 million.
