A woman says that Safelite has made a small repair in a much bigger problem: a windscreen replacement.
In a Tiktok that has generated more than 226,000 views from this writing, says Abigail Roberts (@thenewpinkalicious) that Safelite broke her entire windshield after she went inside to have a small chip repaired.
“I had a knick in my windshield that was about one centimeter, and I had to have it repaired before I went back to school,” says Roberts.
The Safelite representative reportedly said to Roberts: “I have to tell you this as a precaution; about 10% of the time when we dissolve the suction power that we use to cure the resin, the windshield creaks. So much that you need to get a new one.”
“Ten percent of the time seems a bit high, but I am not a car mechanic. So whatever,” says Roberts.
About 10 minutes later, the Safelite Service Tech reportedly told Roberts that the windshield had cracked. The crack who was once one centimeter, stretched from the edge of the window to the bicycle, she says.
The service Tech Roberts reportedly asked for her availability and she replied that she was driving to New Jersey the next morning.
