If everything goes according to plan, we will make another trip to Thailand early next year and so I have the pleasure of creating a new blog label under the heading #thaimout2026. The first time we went to Koh Lanta for an extended stay was in 2011. Fatta, Fifteen long years ago! Sebbe and Julia were small and Nelly was not even thought about.

Wintering on Koh Lanta – about our plans for a long stay in Thailand in 2026
This round will be our sixth long stay in a row. “Maybe our last Thaiout!?”, which in itself I said last year. We’re just having a little too good time not to return. Bringing this project together requires a lot of threads to be sewn together – which in turn means we’re splitting up and going in slightly different batches. With a business that needs staff on site and a few almost adult children in the household, it’s not just packing and moving.

Apart from the fact that we don’t have all the children, the days will look like they almost always do and have done. Work, school (our youngest child has been given a place at Lilla Svenska Skolan again) and endless sunsets. Tobias and I apparently never get tired of this place.
