Liverpool had to work hard to achieve their victories this season, but Jermaine Pennant has complete confidence in his former club.
Winning competitions is no problem for the Champions of England, but they easily win seems like a foreign concept. Liverpool has won their opening of four Premier League matches and all the points in the Champions League grew on Wednesday.

Some experts have chosen to criticize Arne Slot -side for scraping competitions after poor performance, but this is not the way Jermaine Pennant sees it. The former winger, who spent three years at Anfield, is of the opinion that Liverpool’s ability to score late goals should feel worried.
He told Talking: “I think it’s reassuring. 100 percent. I think if you can play on average and still come up with three points that are worried about the teams around them because they can only go up and they only get better.”
“And if they can do it this way, in this way, what happens when the team finally learns and they finally start?”
Pennant believes that Liverpool will improve as the season progresses and he has tipped one player in particular to find a form.
“They will be in good condition and a great place,” he continued. “Speaking of Florian Wirtz, I thought he was very good [against Atletico Madrid]. You saw a glimpse of his talent, his touches, his sharpness, his skill around the box to drive past players. ‘
