If I read the tea magazines correctly (not always a given), this should be the season in which the youth movement of the Penguins will start seriously. It raises the question: “Who will be the best rookie in the team?”
At the first blush it seems to be a two -year race racing between Forwards Ville KoiVunen And Rutger McGroarty. Defender Owen PickeringThat is also to register a lot of work with the Big Boys, skated a season ago in 25 games for the black-gold, which effectively eliminates the Rookie status.

Those delays house his play, where he is deceptive, accurate and identifies the best game. Used giving and gos instead of pressing, and consistently covers the space that maximizes its chances to get the puck back. He is also a bull. Venselessly attacks the inside and combines skill and physicality.
Eprinkside thought, McGroARTY shines in the offensive zone, with the scoring of elite go-in score and playing capacity. He is a slick puck handler.
Personally, I was incredibly impressed by both after their double call-ups of the baby pins on March 28. Inserted in our two-six, did not look like, did not look or misplaced. KoiVunen in particular seemed to control the puck and was not in the least respectful Sidney Crosby.
Regarding his Smarts and playing skills? Stunning.
I also really liked what I saw from McGroarty. Just a very mature-for-her age, two-way player who seemed to thrive in the areas with a lot of traffic and a down-bear between the circles. He was especially effective in closing the boards on the pre -check.
