In 2001, Mallika began working with Christie’s in New York, one of the most prestigious auction houses in the world. Her rise was rapid and historic: at the age of 26, she became the first Indian woman auctioneer at Christie’s, marking a major milestone in her career.
After gaining international experience, she returned to India and worked with renowned institutions, including Pundole’s Art Gallery in Mumbai, further cementing her reputation in the auction world.
Access to sports auctions
Mallika Sagar made her entry into sports auctions in 2021 when she became the first woman auctioneer for the Pro Kabaddi League. Her controlled style and mastery of procedure were quickly praised.
