The incident took place backstage at the Jake Paul vs. boxing event. Anthony Joshua in Miami on December 20, 2025. Doherty, who was filming with his crew (including a bodyguard and friends), crossed paths with former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, 46.
Video footage shows a brief shoulder bump escalating into a brief brawl: Doherty’s group initiated physical contact (punching thrown by his friends and bodyguard), but Arlovski effectively defended himself, knocking one down and forcing the group to retreat and flee. No serious injuries were reported and security intervened quickly.

Doherty claimed Arlovski started it unprovoked (accusing a kick), denied instigation and said he was “trying to stay out of trouble” while on bail from previous charges. Arlovski countered that Doherty’s crew sought “substance” by provoking him and that he simply “stopped the threat.”

After the altercation, Doherty posted videos challenging Arlovski to fight his bodyguard (or even a 3-on-1 scenario) for a big payday.
Arlovski’s manager initially said they ‘absolutely accepted’ it, but in early January 2026 Arlovski rejected it, calling Doherty a ‘bloody fool’ who talked big for a few days but then ‘disappeared’. No fight ensued.
Since the altercation, Jack Doherty has remained relatively quiet on the matter. Public updates and social media rumors about the feud have disappeared, with no further escalation, fight announcements or major statements from Doherty. It appears he has moved on (or retreated) and focused on his usual content amid ongoing legal troubles since his arrest in November 2025.
“It was only viral for two days,” Arlovski said MMA fighting. “He called me this and that and boxing and if I understood it for MMA. My manager said something like Misfits contacted them… and no response. Nothing. He was super brave, super loud for those two or three days. And now he disappeared.”
Arlovski returns to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship for a rematch, this time bare-knuckle, against former UFC fighter Ben Rothwell for the promotion’s big Knuckle Mania event on February 7 in Philadelphia.
