Who is close to a ban or suspension in FPL Gameweek 19?


We look at the players who are close to a ban, have already been suspended or are returning from the mischievous step in Gameweek 19.

There’s only one more Gameweek to go until those individuals move on four bookings the threat of a one-match suspension is lifted.

As for the ones that are on three yellow cards, they are now beyond any imminent danger.

HOW MANY BOOKINGS RESULT IN A BAN – AND WHEN ARE THE EXCLUSION POINTS?

We have taken the table above from the Football Association website. It describes the limits for the different yellow card thresholds.

What we are concerned about now is the five warning sign. This is an unwanted target that Premier League players will have to avoid that of their team first 19 league matches.

There have been no postponements this season, so that must be the case after Gameweek 19 for all 20 clubs (barring last-minute cancellations!).

Penalties for collecting yellow cards are competition specific, while dismissal suspensions apply to all competitive matches.

ON FOUR YELLOW CARDS

There are nine new additions to the 39-member list.

Semi-popular budget midfielders Harry Wilson (ÂŁ5.8 million), Elliot Anderson (ÂŁ5.3 million) and Moses Caicedo (ÂŁ5.7m) all joined the four bookings this weekend.

Justin Kluivert (ÂŁ7.0 million), Michael Kayode (ÂŁ4.5 million), Will Hughes (ÂŁ4.7 million), Jefferson Lerma (ÂŁ4.9 million), Trai Hume (ÂŁ4.5 million) and Kevin Danso (ÂŁ4.2 million) did the same.

Antoine Semenyo (ÂŁ7.7 million), Micky van de Ven (ÂŁ4.5 million) and Bruno Guimaraes (ÂŁ7.0m) are among the other household names who have already had four bookings.

SUSPENDED IN GAMEWEEK 19

Aston Villa pair Matty Cash (ÂŁ4.9 million) and Boubacar camera (ÂŁ4.9m) and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Andre (ÂŁ5.3m) all secured their fifth booking of the season on Saturday. They will sit out Gameweek 19.

Xavi Simons (ÂŁ6.5m), meanwhile, is serving game two of a three-match ban.

Mychailo Mudryk (ÂŁ4.9m) remains suspended indefinitely by the FA.
