Paris Saint-Germain and France Forward Ousmane Dembele defeated Lamine Yamal to win the Ballon d’Or from 2025 on Monday evening, but how did the top players of England go all the votes?
No English player has won the Ballon d’Or since Michael Owen in 2001. Jude Bellingham came close in 2024 and became third behind Vinicius Junior and winner Rodri.
Bellingham made the top 30 again this year, in addition to three of his international teammates. Declan Rice, Harry Kane and Cole Palmer could also be seen on the last shortlist. Read on to find out their final rankings.
Declan Rice, 27th
Midfielder Rice was an important driving force in an Arsenal team that finished second in the Premier League and reached the semi-final of the Champions League last season.
He scored four goals and offered seven assists in 35 Premier League performances, plus four in 13 Champions League outings. His striking display was demonstrably in the 3-0 home victory of Arsenal on Real Madrid in April when he scored two spectacular free kicks.
Rice was also appointed player of the game in the return bone when Arsenal won 2-1 in the Spanish capital.

Jude Bellingham, 23rd
Bellingham played the full season 2024/25 with a shoulder injury before he underwent surgery in the summer. Despite the painful problem, the Real Madrid star bore nine goals and eight assists in 31 La Liga performances.
The 22-year-old added three goals and three assists in 13 Champions League-Start.
He was part of a Real Madrid team that won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup, but fell in the interior and in the largest competition in Europe.

Harry Kane, 13th
Kane finally won a large trophy in 2025 when he helped Bayern Munich to regain their Bundesliga -Kroon in style.
The captain of England was the top scorer in the top flight of Germany for the second season, although his 26 league goals 10 were less than in the previous campaign.
In all competitions, Kane scored 51 Bayern performances and scored 41 goals, including 11 in the Champions League when Bayern reached the quarterfinals. He also scored in five consecutive English competitions during the qualifying period for the Ballon d’Or from 2025.

Cole Palmer, 8th
Cole Palmer finished as the highest placed player of England in the Ballon d’Or voice of 2025.
The 23-year-old scored 15 goals and scored eight assists in 37 Premier League outings for Chelsea. He also helped to lift the blues at the UEFA Europa Conference League.
But what probably influenced many voters was Palmer’s individual sparkle in the US in the summer. He started six times for Chelsea at the FIFA Club World Cup and delivered three goals and two assists. Palmer took a brace and also set a goal for João Pedro when Chelsea European Champions PSG 3-0 in the final.
