A half-hour rain reduction in the sixth inning cost the barons (68-44) their pitching momentum and break a three-game Win Streak against the Blue Wahoos (57-54). Riley Gowens masked the quiet Bham-Vleermuizen and threw five innings of a hit ball while he hit five. Offensing, the barons gathered four hits and the RBI Single of Mario Camiletti in the fourth scored the only run. Jordan Mikel blew the strong start of Gowens and gave two runs on three hits when the game resumed. Although Mikel’s outing was not great, the weak attack by Birmingham was the real disappointment.
