“If you build it, he will come,” said a voice in the corn field against Ray Kinsella Field of dreams.
With regard to the life lessons of old sports films, it is not half bad. (Only matched by “There is no crying in baseball”, van Own competition“Ducks fly together”, from The mighty ducks and “Pitcher has a big ass” Rookie of the year.) Because when it comes to operating firms, developers leave it all on the field and build new spaces with great facilities.
Why construct new spaces instead of holding on to the usual home base? It’s all about delivering what tenants want – and to give employees back to the office. (It certainly beats them!) A fresh new space with Pickleball rights benches, restaurants and access to large transithubs is, after all, quite tempting.
“There are many companies that are afraid of mandates, but they want people to be inside again,” said Whitley Collins of CBRE Robyn Friedman for her article “What’s Ride Corporate Office Moves.”
Siemens Energy, for example, leaves his 40 -year head office and proceeds to a new development planned by the master with shopping, dining and entertainment.
Some companies are also looking for properties for their company offices. Liberty Mutual and Sending Company Ocean Network Express recently signed business lease contracts with a home with a new tenantslounge, artworks and a coffee shop.
“We had a lot of success with leasing that building,” Jim Adler van Nai Hiffman (the company that arranged the lease) told Friedman. “Companies want to go to a building that feels full of life.” What else does the company stories encourage? And what facilities are business tenants looking (maybe they want a catch)? Discover more in Friedman’s article.
