The second journey from the UFC to China in 9 months, but first to Shanghai since 2017, a rising Chinese star in a matchup that guaranteed fireworks guaranteed. Although the fight itself was delivered on the fireworks, it is no longer up to Zhang Mingyang, because he was stopped by the predictable unpredictable Johnny Walker in the Main Event of UFC Shanghai. In the Co-Main event, Brian Ortega and Aljamain Sterling saw top 10 featherweights in a fight with real efforts, but not much offered much as a viewing experience. A collision between top 10 heavyweights and a few Chinese prospects round the map. While we continue from China to Paris, let’s first see what the next one should be for our victors.
Johnny Walker
Johnny Walker kept his whimsical tendencies, somehow finished for five seconds in the fight on the bottom. His opponent, Zhang Mingyang, had never won a fight that went beyond the first round. Despite the fact that in the first five minutes he was confronted against the clearly dangerous Zhang, the Brazilian survived the initial attack and received a TKO finish in the second round after landing some heavy calf kicks. This was an important victory for Walker to preserve his position as a poor but entertaining member of this division. He tried to call Jan Blachowicz, but I doubtful that this victory will move him far enough to justify such a name. Instead, I think the UFC probably just wants to book the Bogdan Guskov fight again. It was an intriguing matchup when it was booked in January, but a few victories for each sent for each and it just became even more interesting.
Walker’s next fight: Bogdan Guskov
Aljamain sterling
It was not the most exciting affair, but the former Bantam weight champion came back in the win column and earned a broad unanimous decision victory at Brian Ortega. In terms of name value, the victory is fun for Sterling, but it will not do much in the title photo at Featherweight. It was more about it that Ortega looked old than Sterling set up a master class. At 36 he knows that if he goes on a title run in his new division, the time is now. Even he acknowledged the feeling of age to feel a little more in his interview after the fight. It probably explains why, even though he knew he didn’t set a show, he was still trying to shoot his shot at Alexander Volkanovski. There is simply no way in which he will be rewarded with a title shot after this fight. The good thing for Aljo is that he is not the only one in his boat that floats in the dark. Yair Rodriguez also suffered a bad loss for the current champion and is a pretty faint victory. In my opinion, this makes matchmaking fairly easy. Let’s let the Funkmeester US Leopard And see who from two can produce a highlight that is worthy of an exit from purgatory.
Sterling’s next fight: Yair Rodriguez
Sergei Pavlovich
Although he returned earlier this year in the win column against Jairzinho Rozen bush, Sergei Pavlovich was not a fan of his performance in that fight. Even if he went to the jury’s scorecards again, Pavlovich looked a lot of goal -oriented and confident this time. The fight was mainly the distance through Waldo Cortes-Acosta somehow the large bombs that Pavlovich has folded in the past have folded people. Although gaining back-to-back victories is important after successive losses to suffer, these are now four fights where the Russian has not succeeded in delivering one of its rather characteristic knockouts. For that reason I expect him to fight again before he gets the chance to get back to the title photo. The next card has a fight between eternal top 10 heavyweight Marcin Tybura and former PFL champion Ante Delija on it. The winner would be a suitable opponent for Pavlovich at the moment.
Pavlovich’s next fight: Tybura/Delija -Winner
Sumudaerji
Sumudaerji earned a second consecutive victory when he comfortably washed up Kevin Borjas in the course of three rounds. After overcoming a three-field slip against veterans Matt Schnell, Tim Elliott and Charles Johnson, the Chinese hunter has now found some momentum again. I don’t think he has to go on his way back to the ranking, but he is probably only one fight removed. Other striping non -combat weights such as Allan Nascimento and Andre Lima can be great options, but I went with Rafael Estevam. The unbeaten Estevam has missed the weight twice in three UFC attacks, so there is a chance that he will be forced to go up a division. But as long as the promotion is prepared to keep him at 125 pounds, he is the right opponent for Sumudaerji.
Sumudaerji’s next fight: Rafael Estevam
Taiyilake Nuuerr.ji
The 24-year-old Nuerraji came in this fight with a 11-1 record, including ten first round Finishes, with nine by knockout. Not everyone who makes his debut in the short term would receive the main map treatment, but he did, and that talks about what the UFC believes they have in him. A flagrant mistake while he kneaded Kiefer Crosbie in the head while he was down, this version really put an asterisk. He dominated for the error, but it is still impossible to ignore the impact of it. Despite what resembled a promising debut, I don’t think Nueraji can earn an upgrade in its level of competition. He has to pretend he still hasn’t debuted. Someone like Preston Parsons is always a good opponent to test these kinds of prospects.
Nuuerr.i’s next fight: Preston Parsons
