Alonso launched a second inning Homer no. 252 In his career who with Darryl Strawberry Bond for first place in the franchise record book.
It went for nothing in the 7-4 loss of the Mets for the Brewers on American Family Field.

Mendoza was asked what Alonso means for the organization.

How frustrated as Francisco Lindor was on the sixth straight Mets loss, he said he was happy that Alonso could take a piece of franchise history.
“He is one of the best Power Hitters in this organization and also one of the best in the game,” said Lindor. “What he does day in day out is impressive, and I am very proud of him, and I am happy that he is my teammate and I have to witness history.”
Lindor said the whole team knew that Alonso needed only one Homer to bind strawberry.
“It’s something he doesn’t talk about much about, but I’m sure he wanted it,” said Lindor. “And for him to achieve that, it’s a good thing. I’m sure he’s going to hit one [Sunday] Or the next competition and the only leader of the franchise. ‘
