Quarterback Streaming Options Week 2

Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Chargers (24% toasted)

In week 1 we got exactly what we hoped for from the Geno Smith experience in Las Vegas. Smith finished as the QB15 in fantasy points (18.5), but his advanced statistics suggest that larger days could stand in front of us.

Smith was one of the top 10 quarterbacks in deep ball attempts (six), air yards (351), yards per attempt (10.6), expected points added (16.2), explosive rating (141.1) and deep ball completion percentage (66.7%). What is even more important, the veteran Quarterback has spread the ball over eight different goals, using all parts of the field.

It will be difficult for Smith to be a weekly top 10 quarterback with his lack of hasty skills, but his passing volume and accuracy with all parts of the field will give him a big chance to end up as a low-end QB1 with the weapons around him.

Smith is worth streaming and storing, especially if the Raiders remain one of the toughest pass rates teams in the NFL this season (they placed a walk-through percentage of 9.5% about expectations in week 1, in third place).

Deep Sleeper: Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints (<1% toasted)

Brock Purdy apparently toe and shoulder injuries in the victory of week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. First reports suggested that Purdy could miss the game of week 2. Head coach Kyle Shanahan came out and stated that Purdy would be a “long shot” to play week 2 and possibly be able to miss several weeks.

Enter Mac Jones.

Mac Jones Advanced statistics and statistics profile

Jones joined the 49ers this season as Back -Up Quarterback after playing in 10 games (seven starts) for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024. In those competitions he completed 65.3% of his passes for 1,672 Yards, eight Touchdowns and eight interceptions.

The experienced Quarterback has no George Kittle of Brandon Aiyuk in the passing attack, but he will still have Christian McCaffrey and Ricky Pearsall. It is also possible that Jauan can play Jennings after all the tests on his shoulder have returned negatively.

Is Mac Jones the most exciting quarterback? No. But he posted for five weeks with at least 13.0 fantasy points per match in a much less talented Jaguar’s team in 2024. He can do the job against a Saints defense that just allowed 18.3 points to Kyler Murray.

Honorable mention: Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns in Baltimore Ravens (5% toasted)

Teams with Joe Flacco Under Center are not afraid to air it. Since 2022, Flacco has made 16 starts in three different teams (De Jets, Colts and Browns). In those games, he has an average of 41.2 fitting attempts, a completion rate of 62.1% and 284.3 yards per game.

It was more of the same in the Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. In that game, Flacco 31 of 45 passes for 290 Yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Flacco will probably see a similar passing volume in week 2 and try to keep track of the Baltimore Ravens.

The defense of Baltimore could make Flacco’s life more difficult, but he should still have more than enough volume to be fantasy relevant in week 2.

Running Back Streaming Options Week 2

Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles (19% toasted)

There are not much running that are worth targeting this week on the exemption wire, but a player who could have some attraction is Kareem Hunt van Chiefs back. Hunt registered a Snap share of 38% in the week 1 game against the Chargers, wore the ball five times for 16 meters and added two receptions for 10 yards.

Hunt (23 Snaps) was the clear second violin of Isiah Pacheco (31 Snaps) and also lost Snaps to Rookie Brashard Smith (8 Snaps), but still ended with Pacheco for most touches from the Achterveld (seven).

Diep Sleeper: Lequint Allen Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals (1% toasting)

The Jaguars exchanged Tank Bigsby this week. Of course people started to celebrate the result for Travis Etienne and Bhaysshul Tuten. Another potential winner, however, is Rookie Lequint Allen Jr.

Lequint Allen Advanced States & Metrics -Profile

All played nine snaps in the Jacksonville match against the Carolina Panthers, used one Carry for seven meters and catch his only target for four meters.

In reality, Etienne and Tuten will treat the most snaps against the Bengal. But all was a productive fitting catcher at Syracuse (119 receptions for 848 Yards and six touchdowns in three seasons) and the Passcatching Rol in Jacksonville could earn. That could lead to an increase in fantasy points in a game that could become a shootout.

Wide receiver streaming options week 2

Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots in Miami Dolphins (21% toasted)

All the attention that this season has aimed at the additions to the passing attack by New England. Instead, the recurring player Kayshon Boutte led the team in all important receiving categories.

Kayshon Boutte Advanced Stats & Metrics profile

Boutte caught six of the eight goals for 103 Yards and played 82.9% of the Snaps of the team with a wide receiver while taking care of an injury. During his last four games (dating from last season), Boutte has an average of 6.8 goals, 5.5 receptions and 85.8 receiving yards; He also scored two touchdowns.

The Patriots play a Miami -Secondary so that Daniel Jones could only complete 75.9% of his passes for 272 yards and a touchdown. Boutte was limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury, but he will hit an excessive opponent in week 2.

Deep Sleeper: Elic Ayomanor, Tennessee Titans vs Los Angeles Rams (5% toasted)

The entire Titans attack struggled in week 1, but that should have been expected on the road against the defense of Denver. Lost in their struggles was the role that Rookie Elic Ayomanor had in his first career game.

Elic Ayomanor Advanced States & Metrics Profile

The Rookie registered a SNAP share of 77.6% with a route participation of 79.4% in week 1. He earned seven goals (28% target share) but only caught two to 13 Yards. The advanced statistics show that he could have had a much better day. Ayomanor was the WR5 in Air Yards (133), the WR7 in deep goals (2) and the WR8 in average target depth (19.0).

The passing attack by Tennessee has a few things to work out in the coming weeks, but Ayomanor will be on the field to earn goals when sorting out. That role can have value, especially if the Titans are continuously in negative game scripts.

Honorable mention: Calvin Austin III, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Seattle Seahawks (13% roasted)

Calvin Austin III earned six goals, four receptions, 70 receiving yards and a touchdown on a career-high Snap share of 80% in Aaron Rodgers’ first game with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Austin had received a lot of recognition during the training camp and translated to the field.

Seattle is a difficult matchup, but Austin must continue to benefit from the attention for DK Metcalf.

Tight final streaming options for week 2

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns in Baltimore Ravens (34% toasted)

Harold Fannin Jr. After the first exemption cycle, saw a significant peak in his grid percentage, but it is still far below 50% threshold for this article. Fannin had a fantastic debut with the browns and catch seven of nine goals for 63 yards while he was used about the entire attack to maximize his talent. He was the TE6 in PPR score (13.6 points).

Harold Fannin Jr. Advanced statistics and statistics profile

The advanced statistics also loved his performance. Fanning was the TE9 in Routes Run (29), the TE7 in goals per routes (31.0%) and the TE4 in Air Windows (65). He also had a 25% designed target share and a 21.7% first read target share.

That suggests that Fannin’s big game was not a ranger. Based on the data of one week, we can reasonably conclude that the Rookie is an integral part of the violation of Cleveland.

Deep Sleeper: Cole KMET, Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (2% roasted)

It is only a matter of time until Colston Loveland takes over the tight end position in Chicago. In week 1, however, Cole Kmet was still the Te1 van de Bears. KMET played at 87.9% of Chicago snaps and ran a route at 78.4% of the drop-backs. He only caught one of the four goals for 31 Yards, but still finished as the TE2 in average target for week 1 (14.3).

KMET still plays a role in the passing attack and has the size to have an impact in the red zone. The only thing needed is a touchdown for him to have a big week in the tight final position.
