I’ve grown quite tired of the All Star Break and honestly this year is the least I’ve seen of it since I remember, so the only content I can give you is this great interaction between Jokic and Wemby, during the All Star Pregame and a mix of other Jokic related incidents around All Star weekend.
Additionally, the biggest news for fantasy, but for next season, came from reports that the NBA will look to further combat tanking by making some big changes that will be announced later. I say anything that helps is appreciated as we have seen this season tanking from December onwards and this is clearly a bad look for the association.
As for last week’s suggestions, Isaiah Collier was great and will remain a must-have as long as Keyonte George is sidelined, while Maxime Reynaud has also become a must-have as he is the last big man in Sacramento due to Dylan Cardwell’s untimely injury. Furthermore, Tristan Vukcevic continues to start for the Wizards, albeit with slightly fewer minutes than we would have liked. Finally, on the Sell front, DeMar Derozan proved me wrong by having a good week, while Jusuf Nurkic proved me right by being shut down for the season due to nose surgery.

Moussa Diabate: The mini-brawl that broke out in the Hornets – Pistons match resulted in a four-match suspension for Diabate, but he returned yesterday and immediately regained his starting spot. Charlotte is a much better team with him on the floor and if you’re okay with his non-existent points, he can be a great rebounding source with some blocks on top (23% ownership).
Kyle Filipowski: I’ve been preaching this for weeks and in many comments, but the fact that Jusuf Nurkic is out for the season is the final domino to fall and makes Filipowski a clear player to own. If Isaiah Collier is the tank commander for the Jazz this year, Filipowski is at least the tank lieutenant and has already been a top 100 player for the past month, so go get him (37% ownership)!
Jonathan Kuminga: Do I trust his 27-point explosion last game, especially since Jalen Johnson left the game with a hip injury? Not at all. But when you look at Atlanta’s roster, there is a path for Kuminga to fill a 28-minute role and have value in the standard leagues. The only red flag is that Atlanta’s schedule is poor over the next two weeks, so if you’re fighting for a playoff spot, you can safely skip him (28% ownership).

Kristaps Porzingis: He owns 91% of Yahoo Fantasy Leagues. Doesn’t matter. When he plays, he can be a real fantasy unicorn. Doesn’t matter. What I and we have to worry about as we get closer to the fantasy playoffs is actual value and not potential value, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the Unicorn can’t get through a full week of basketball even coming off the bench. The last time he played a full week of basketball without playing games was between 10/27 and 11/7. Yes, that was last year. I know you may have used a high draft pick to get him, but the drop is the right move here (91% ownership).
