The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice-President Rajeev Shukla has rejected strong rumors around the immediate future of Indian cricket -icons Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli. Shukla broke his silence about the issue and clarified that the BCCI is following a clear policy of non-interference in the pension decisions of players, and emphasizes that the choice lies exclusively with the cricketers themselves.

His comments come in the midst of the growing speculation that the ODI series against Australia could serve later this year as the Swansong for the two veterans, especially after their surprising pension announcements of tests earlier in 2025.

Rising concern about the ODI future of Rohit Sharma
