The time of Liam Delap at Chelsea may have just started, but the 22-year-old striker has already made a pretty impression.
Delap delivered his first two goals on Stamford Bridge during the 4-1 victory of the blues over AC Milan in their last outing for the season for their Premier League opener.
Arriving from Ipswich Town on the eve of the World Cup, Delap did not waste time to make his mark and came from the bank against Los Angeles FC to set up Enzo Fernandez on debut.
He scored his first goal with a composed finish in a 3-0 win over Es Tunis in their last group game. Against the conclusion of the tournament, Delap had the medal of a winner in his hands after the convincing last triumph of Chelsea against Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea starts their Premier League campaign this Sunday at home at Crystal Palace, who lifted the Community Shield after beating Liverpool on penalties.
The blues get a chance of 8.3% to lift the title of the top flight this season according to the OPTA Supercomputer, with Delap optimistic for a positive start against Palace.
“We didn’t have long off and had these two games to prepare, but I think we are all ready,” Delap added. “We have to get everyone fresh.
“We had two games in a few days, but this week we will be aimed at preparing and preparing for the competition on Sunday.
“Stamford Bridge is a special stadium and it is a nice feeling to have the first game at home. Hopefully we can get three points.”
