De Klerk, one of the best all-rounders in women’s cricket, entered a critical phase with DC cruising but still needed acceleration. What followed was brutal and brilliant hitting.
Henry’s attack began with decisive footwork and fearless intent, as she launched de Klerk to all parts of the ground. The over soon turned into a barrage of boundaries and sixes, shifting the momentum towards the Delhi Capitals in no time.
This came at a crucial time, the penultimate over of DC’s innings, and effectively changed the momentum. Sayali Satghare was also at the receiving end as Henry and Laura Wolvaardt smashed 15 runs in the final over to take their team total to 203.

“Once I get to the fold, anything is possible” – Henry on her epic cameo
The West Indies all-rounder reflected on her batting after the innings and revealed what she had in mind before batting and how many discussions were had in the run-up to the final.
“In the few games I’ve batted, I’ve just been rushing a bit. The conversations we’ve had… once I get into the fold, anything is possible, so it was OK for me to get a couple of doubles when I was there until the end. Obviously, when I come in, I can be a bit happy and want to rush things very early in the innings. So it was just about getting a little bit more time and just being able to finish the innings for the team,” she says. concluded.
