Watch the Circus Tape of Suns Dillon Brooks vs. Pacers, ‘Hang it in The Louvre’

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Dillon Brooks had his best performance in a Suns jersey against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night.

The acquisition of the Houston Rockets via the Kevin Durant trade finished with 32 points on 12-of-18 shooting (3-of-7 from beyond the arc), followed by a rebound and a steal, while sinking all five of his free-throw attempts.

Confess’ Basketball reference game score (a metric developed by John Hollinger to give a rough measure of a player’s productivity for a single match) of 21.9 was by far his best mark of the young season.

By getting those 32 points in just 28 minutes of action, Brooks and Devin Booker became the first Suns duo scoring more than 30 points in less than 30 minutes in a match.

The night was highlighted by a circus shot and-1, in which Brooks connected on a forearm strike from Pacers guard Ben Sheppard, ending with a contortionist, leaving Suns broadcaster Eddie Johnson choking laughter.

How, indeed.

Despite getting the hit and having to shoot the ball awkwardly to the right as his momentum carried him in the opposite direction, Brooks sank the attempt and also reached the foul line.

The Suns social media team had fun with a still image from the shot, saying, “Hang it in the Louvre.”

If the museum agrees, hopefully it won’t get stolen.
