Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne is reportedly emerging as a transfer target for AC Milan next summer, according to reports in Italy.
The Frenchman has been an important player at Villa Park since his move from Everton a few years ago and he is under contract with the Midlands club until 2028.
However, it appears there is now some growing fear among those at Villa that Milan pose a serious threat to retaining Digne.
The Rossoneri are looking for a new left-back and it looks like Digne will be a key target for them in that position.

It seems that Milan are keeping an eye on Digne as they think they might be able to land him on the cheap.
The 32-year-old is no longer at his peak, so even if AVFC would likely prefer to keep him, it may make sense to listen to reasonable offers for him.
Digne’s contract may not expire until 2028, but Milan appear confident they can land the former Barcelona man on the cheap in the summer of 2026.
We’ll have to see how this turns into reality, but Villa clearly have a big decision to make and it could also be difficult for them to convince Digne to turn down a big name like Milan.
Even though the Serie A giants are no longer the force they once were, they remain a big name with a lot of history and prestige.
It’s easy to imagine Digne would relish the opportunity to play there, if only for a relatively short period towards the end of his career.
