The innings of West -Australia revolved around the stylish batting of their wicketkeeper Curtis, who showed his talent with a smooth 116 of 108 deliveries. His knock was peppered with 12 fresh boundaries and four towering sixes, which tapped the scoreboard and put pressure on the Queensland attack. Curtis found a strong partner in Sam WhitemanThat compiled a steady 83, so that wa was a solid platform, despite regular breakthroughs.
Together the couple frustrated the Queensland -bowlers and added the crucial momentum to the innings of West -Australia. Their position ensured that the visitors marked the 300-run and suggested a formidable target for the hosts.

Although Curtis and Whiteman dominated large phases of the innovations, the bowling unit of Queensland hit back by leg spinner Swepson and Pacer Tom Streaker. It was the third ball of the 32nd over, bent by stretcher, who so far produced one of the best moments of the season. Streaker delivered a full ball outside, so Curtis seduced in an ambitious lofted shot to the long -term border. Swepson timing his jump to perfection, rose in the air and picked the ball with his right hand in a single movement. The crowd broke out when he landed safely and maintained what can only be described as a screamer. The dismissal ended Curtis’ excellent innings and shifted the momentum back to Queensland.
