Golfers and iconic water buffalo bio -mowers are about to pick the benefits while Vietnam Golf Coast Clubs reveal a wave of upgrades aimed at keeping Central Vietnam at the top of the Golfboard of Asia.
Ba after Hills Golf Club and Laguna Golf Lang Co, long recognized for an exceptional design and stunning landscape, embrace a philosophy of continuous improvement to increase the conditioning of the course, aesthetics and the overall player experience. From the renewal of turf and indigenous landscape architecture to improving visual attraction and drainage, both clubs invest in upgrades that reflect a deep dedication to excellence.
At Laguna Golf Lang Co, where a Sir Nick Faldo-characteristic layout weaves between Jungle-Klande Bergen and the Baltic Sea, the work is underway on various important improvements to help the course thrive during the year, especially during the more stressful winter months of Vietnam.
A second hiding place for the beloved water buffalo of the club, which act as “bio-mowers” that are currently being built in the course, which offers protection against storms and strengthening the reputation of Laguna for sustainability and innovation.
“In addition to the new hiding place, we restore the well surfaces and the expansion of our nurseries when we go back to Zoysia Matrella,” said Jason Blacka, newly named Chief Inspector at Laguna Golf Lang Co. “We are also handling improved personnel training and implementation of adapted agronomic practices to maintain optimum grassness.”
Other initiatives include renewing indigenous landscape zones to expose more sand and to promote resilient indigenous plants. These changes not only support the ecosystem, but also contribute to the visual drama of the layout.
In the meantime, in the hills above Da Nang, Ba Na Hills Golf Club refines both the track and the brand that defines it. In 2025, the club unveiled a sharpened brand philosophy – made by nature, perfected by passion – that reflects a deeper focus on both authenticity and precision.
“This is more than just a slogan, it is a leading Ethos that informs how we present and worry our course,” said Simon Mees, general manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club. “We have implemented a more rigorous maintenance regime aimed at the quality of the turf and playing all year round, while the facilities are improved to guarantee comfort without the rest known for it.”
Recent improvements include increasing the water level between holes 9 and 18 for better aesthetics and reducing the height of the Fairway on hole 11 to reveal a view of the water and to stimulate drainage. At the same time, annual renovation work is carried out on all game surfaces to encourage root health and to promote the long -term grass density.
Although technological innovations such as SmartScore help modernize the activities, the emphasis remains on increasing the pure golf experience and leaving it at the center.
