The most striking newcomer in Canucks Camp is Evander Kane, who was taken over from the Edmonton Oilers early in the low season for a pick with fourth round. It will be his first training camp in two years, because last year he rehabiled an injury at the start of Oilers Camp that cost him the entire regular season. Fans also get to see three 2025 trekking choices in Cootes, Chiarot and Dervin. Chase Stillman, who was taken from the Pittsburgh Penguins for Arturs Silovs, will also be one to look at while he tries to make his way to the lower six conversation.

Defenders (19)

Parker Alcos, Joe Arntsen, Guillaume Brisbois, Derek Forbort, Filip Hronek, Quinn Hughes, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Nikolai Kneyzov, Kirill Kudryavtsev, Jayden Lee, Victor Mancini, Tyterssssson, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer. Sandhu, Jimmy Schultt, Tom Willander, Jett Woo

The only newcomer to defense is Joseph, who signed as a free agent in the low season. He divided his time between the Penguins and St. Louis Blues last season and will fight with a few young people for the place next to Derek Forbort or as the seventh defender. It will also be the first training camp for Marcus Pettersson and Victor Mancini, who were taken over before the Handelsdeadline last season from the Penguins and New York Rangers respectively.

Finally, fans get the first glimpse of Tom Willander’s top perspective, who did not go to a training camp because he was in the NCAA since he was set up in 2023. He will also fight to reach the opening night schedule, but he will have to have a striking camp and the preseason to do this. He will not make it as a seventh defender, since it would be better to play his development in the top minutes in the American Hockey League (AHL), not like a healthy scratch in the press box.

Goalkeepers (7)

Thatcher Demko, Aku Koskenvuo, Kevin Lankinen, Alexei Medvedev, Jiri Patera, Nikita Tolopilo, Ty Young

The goalkeeper position this year will have no surprises, which is a good thing. Last year the Canucks went into the camp with Demko on the injured reserve list and only Silovs, Nikita Tolopilo and Jiri Patera behind him. Only on September 21, 2024, Lankinen was signed to strengthen the fold and to prevent the team from entering the season with a very unproven tandem of Silovs and Tolopilo/Patera. This year it is completely different, with Demko and Lankinen healthy and ready to make a difference as one of the best 1A/1B duos since Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider.

Apart from them, Camp will also contain Medvedev, which was recently selected in the 2025 design, and Koskenvuo, which was One of the standing out Of the short two-game prospect showcase in Seattle and Everett at the weekend.
