Usman Nurmagomedov thinks he would make it look easy against Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan.
The current PFL Lightweight World Champion defended his title last weekend in the PFL Dubai Main Event at the Coca-Cola Arena against 2025 PFL Lightweight Tournament winner Alfie Davis, winning by submission in the third round.
Usman Nurmagomedov has one fight left on his PFL contract and is expected to sign with the UFC soon. He is already considered one of the best lightweights in the world.
Usman Nurmagomedov is convinced he is better than Arman Tsarukyan and Ilia Topuria
After choking Alfie Davis, the Russian phenom was asked at the post-fight press conference to elaborate on how he thinks he would do against UFC 155-pound champion Ilia Topuria and No. 2 contender Arman Tsarukyan.
The 27-year-old believed he is better than ‘El Matador’ and Tsarukyan and said he would wish them the same fate as Davis.
“The preparation for them would have been completely different. They are fighters at a different level in terms of skill. For example, Arman struggles with striking as well as striking, so the preparation would have been very different, but the result would have been the same.”
When asked if he is a better wrestler than ‘Ahalkalakets,‘ the 27-year-old joked:
“Unlike Arman, I have no loss.”

Usman Nurmagomedov remains undefeated in MMA, with 21 wins and 15 finishes. With the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev and Javier Mendez in his corner, he has all the guidance a fighter needs.
After his PFL Dubai victory, he thanked his team via an Instagram post, adding that this is just the beginning of his story:
“21 wins and this is just the beginning. Insha Allah thank you very much to everyone involved with word and deed. Alhamdulillah for everything. The best team in the world, whether anyone likes it or not!!”
