Anisimova even surprised herself with how fast she continued with her loss at the All England Club.
“Really the most that I felt bad for the people who had come that day to watch,” she said.
“I know how many people pay for those tickets and are enthusiastic to see Wimbledon. I had that debt on my back, in contrast to winning my first Grand Slam final.
‘I cried on the field and maybe [for] 30 minutes after that, but then I came to the phone with someone and I laughed a bit.
“At the end of the day for me it was only tennis. I am really in a really good place in my life. I am happy every day, which I was not a few years ago.”
Anisimova said in the early stages of the Hard-Court tournaments in Montreal and Cincinnati, and said that her early matches in New York were played with “a little fear”.
However, her self -confidence has grown the fourteen days – as shown in her brilliant fearless ball tricking against Swiatek.
“I said to myself: you can’t go into the game with fear,” she said.
“Today I really came with no shred of fear.
When Swiateek took her serve in the opening match, flashbacks from Wimbledon appeared.
“When I couldn’t hold in that first game, I was just like ok, here we go,” she said.
But this time around Anisimova did not stagger – attacking the six -time big winners’ service to break back immediately.
Anisimova showed excellent skills on the backhand side and moved impressively everywhere, and hit 23 winners like her large game of Fan Swiatek.
She enjoyed success on the second Serve van de Paal – winning 12 of 17 points – and found the break at the crucial moment to take the opening set.
Swiatek left the court between sets and returned full of intensity, breaking again immediately but this time consolidating with a guard.
Anisimova could be forgiven for going back to Wimbledon, but she kept her cool and saved the break two games later.
Heavily supported by a home crowd, Anisimova broke in the eighth competition to serve for the victory – which she did in the composed way to reach a third semifinal.
