It’s a quick turnaround for the Terriers, who will look to shake up their offense and get back to the winning side of the ledger when they take on Harvard at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET for the game airing on NESN. A live stream for those outside New England is on ESPN+.
In the weekend series split with UMass, BU found the opponent’s net just once. The series marked the debut of the newly arrived center Tynan Lawrence. Some highlights from his first two games.

Tynan Lawrence (#11) played his first two NCAA games this weekend. No points but was effective. Still adjusting to the pace.
Created a few chances, disrupted the opponents and forced a few turnovers. Smart player, so he should adapt quickly to better competition.#2026NHLDesign pic.twitter.com/qLIbLjAtoK

In case you missed it, Defkit’s Terrier Takeaway from Saturday’s defeat was a late addition to yesterday’s post. You can find it here.
BU has won eight of the past 11 meetings (8-2-1) with Harvard, most recently in last season’s Beanpot opener, a 7-1 win at Terrier.
The Crimson, currently 7-6-1, have lost their last three starts to top ECAC teams, Quinnipiac (9-1), Princeton (3-2) and last weekend Dartmouth (5-4). Harvard had a four-game win streak in November, including a North Country sweep of Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
Sophomore Mick Thompson is Harvard’s leading scorer with 17 points (5G,12A), while seniors Phil Tresca And Casey Servo are the leading goalscorers with seven each. Senior Ryan Healey and sophomores Lucas St. Louis anchor the defense together with senior Mason Langenbrunner.
Sophomore netminder Ben Charette has started all 14 games. He has a GAA of 3.24 and a save percentage of .894.
Matt Gilroy, captain of BU’s 2009 national champions and winner of the Hobey Baker Award that season, is in his second season as assistant to longtime Harvard Head Coach Ted Donato. Donato became the all-time winningest coach in Harvard history with 325 wins on December 6 and a 7–3 loss to Brown.

Last week, Malhotra spoke with NHL.Com First service crew about his development and what he learned from his father, 16-year-old NHLer Manny Malhotra. Caleb is also the cousin of two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash.
2026 recruit Egor Shilov was named QMJHL’s Prospect of the Week for the first week of 2026. He scored a goal in each of the five games he played, while assisting on three more. He currently has 51 points (21G,30A) in 38 games, second in debutant scores only one point behind the leader.
Looking back
Jack Eichel scored a pair of goals – his 15th and 16th – in a 7-2 Vegas win about the sharks that saw Macklin Celebrini‘s 13-game point streak came to a halt. The former BU All-American has 48 points in 37 games. Eichel and NY Rangers Chairman Chris Drury are the only Terriers to have won both the Hobey Baker Award and the Stanley Cup.

(Rick DiPietro And Jake Oettinger) and the fastest to do so, in only his third start.
Commesso, who was placed on an emergency call when both Blackhawks goaltenders were ill, was sent back to AHL Rockford on Sunday.
